Baratang, July 04: A girl of Baratang Island committed suicide last night by consuming insecticide, kept in her house. According to reports the girl wrote a suicide note before attempting suicide in which she reportedly mentioned that she is taking this extreme step to unite with her boyfriend in heavenly abode. Her boyfriend had also reportedly committed suicide in Port Blair nearly one month back, by hanging himself.
At the time of such attempt, her mother was in Port Blair for treatment while her father was asleep. Two sisters of the victim were also present in the same house.
