Port Blair, June 26: To raise Global awareness about the benefits of the ancient practice on 21st June 2019, International Yoga Day has been successfully celebrated in Andaman and Nicobar regional centre. Marking the day, theme ‘Yoga for Climate Action’ and following the protocol Anthropological Survey of India, ANRC centre celebrated International yoga day with Prof.Vinaya kumar Shrivastava , Director, Anthropological Survey of India, under the guidance of Mr. Tohakai, the professional Yoga instructor of Port Blair. Narrating the importance of Yoga and translated it as union and a practice that seeks to create a union between the body and mind Mr. Tohakai instructed different asanas with proper breathing exercise to all the staff members and Dr.Nilanjan Khatua, Head of Office.
The class was completed with the peace prayer and ended symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.
