Port Blair, June 24: Islands Sqay Martial Art Team Headed By Mrs. R.S. Uma Bharatthy Member SSC has won 24 Golds , 9 Silvers & 11.Bronze Medals with Mega Victory of Total 44 Medals in the SQAY National Championship at Kashmir.
The Islands Sqay Martial Team participated in National Sqay Championship held at Phalgham Kashmir from 15-19th of this month organized by Sqay Federation of India (SFI) Recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs And Sports Govt. Of India (MYAS), Sports Authority of India( SAI) and International Olympic Committee(IOC) Affiliated with International Council Of Sqay (ICS) and Sqay Organization Of Asia (SOA) altogether More than 900+partcipants participated from various states and UT in which our Islands Sqay (ISMAA) Team has won 44 Medals i.e. 24 Golds 9 Silvers & 11 Bronze.
Andaman’s Sqay Martial Art Team players have made a historical Win, in the National SQAY Championship the entire team players have conveyed their gratitude to their Master M.D.Selvam Black Belt 7th Dan & Assistant Instructor V. N. Rajendran 3rd Dan Black Belt for giving them the best training due to which the team has succeeded Win with such Mega Victory in the National Arena by flagging our Islands name & fame too.
In the 10th International SQAY Master’s Cup in the Senior Men and Women Black Belt Category Mr. R.Dinesh & Miss Saniya Subash also won 1st Position Trophies.
Altogether the team has won 24.Golds 9 silvers and 11 bronze medals which is the highest medal ever won by the Island Team in any Recognized Sports of G. O. I & also in Our Islands sport history too, Our honorable Tech. Director Master M.D.Selvam and Other Senior Members of ISMAA and pioneer Students have congratulated the team for their record break achievement.
