Port Blair, Jun 14: Doctors in G.B.Pant Hospital today worked wearing black badges as a symbolic protest against the rising number of violent attacks against doctors in the country. This comes after a student doctor in Kolkata was attacked by a mob, leaving him with a grievous injury to the head.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha Dr. M.K.Saha, Vice President, Indian Medical Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands said that today we the doctors of Andaman and Nicobar Islands will perform our duties wearing black badge as a mark of peaceful protest called by Indian Medical Association against manhandling of Junior Doctors at Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital, West Bengal.
