Port Blair, Apr 26: In yet another serious accident at Mayabunder area, a SUV collided with a bike yesterday, leaving the bike rider with multiple injuries.
According to reports the accident took place at around 2:20 PM and the bike rider was identified as Mr. Nitai Chand Bepari, who is an Assistant Professor of Bangla Department in the Mahatma Gandhi Government College (MGGC).
In this accident Mr. Bepari received grievous injuries on the head and received fractures in his leg and hand. He was taken to the Mayabander District Hospital, where he was kept on the life support system.
Later after efforts from the side of Mayabunder District Hospital authorities, the DC N & M Andaman, he was shifted the G B Pant Hospital where according to latest reports his condition is stable.
The SUV driver has been arrested and case on relevant sections has been registered against him.
