Diglipur, Mar 18: The police team of Diglipur today conducted a raid at DK Tower hotel of Diglipur and a few other places of Diglipur following information of people carrying illegal cash amount for the purchase of lands at Diglipur.
As per reports senior Income Tax officers from Mainland today reached Diglipur following their information of illegal money transfer for land deal, for which SP of North and Middle Andaman and DC North & Middle Andaman also reportedly reached Diglipur today.
Sources said even SP, N & M Andaman himself lead a team during one raid. The result of the raid is still not known but this is sure that not much cash has been recovered yet. A raid was conducted in the office of local Notary also who is reportedly involved in making agreement.
Raids were mainly conducted wherever, one person namely Mr. Sandeep Jindal was making deals to buy land. Today he was supposed to execute two major land deals at Diglipur.
The case seems very high profile because of which, no one is ready to share any further information in this regard. Further details are awaited.
