Baratang, Feb 03: Because of highly irresponsible work of contractor who are involved in upgradation of Andaman trunk road there is frequent disruption of internet service in Middle Andaman area it is learnt that because of the upgradation on National Highway in various places the contractor are digging the road for construction of culvert and while digging the road they are cutting the OFC which runs from Rangat to Baratang area hence because of the cutting of the cables the internet service in entire region is getting hampered. In last one month nearly four times this disruption happened although BSNL is trying its best to maintain the internet service by sending the people and connecting the cable as soon as possible but such cutting of the cable is leading complete blackout to the region which is a great loss in this modern age when internet is required for all kind of government and private activities .The people of Middle Andaman are requesting the Deputy Commissioner to intervene in this matter and conduct a meeting between the NHIDCL and the BSNL so that both can work in total understanding .At the time of digging work atleast one person from BSNL should be requested to remain present at the spot so as to avoid the cutting of OFC by Excavators. Simple precautions can prevent such kind of internet disruption ultimately it will help people of North and Middle Andaman.
