Diglipur, Jan 21: Mr. Dependra Pathak, IPS, Director General of A&N Police inaugurated the newly constructed Fire Station building today morning at Diglipur.
After reaching the Fire Station the DGP inspected the parade and unveiled the signboard and after cutting the ribbon he inspected the building.
Mr. Shailendra Singh JE,APWD welcomed the guests and described about the technical aspects of the building. Along with DGP, IGP (Anti Corruption Unit ) Mr. Sanjay Kumar, IPS, SP (N & M) Mr. I P Singh, IPS, Dy S P (Fire) Mr. Shaukat Husain, SDPO Diglipur Mr. Sukant S Ballabh, Pramukh Diglipur, Pradhans, PRI members and general public participated in this programme.
Out of the Estimate Rs 312 Lakhs till now 250 Lakhs rupees utilized for the construction of the Fire station building. The State of Art building is a double stories framed structure with a total plinth area of 666 sqm. This building is designed as per IS and relevant codes taking into consideration the Earth Quake Zone V. Equipped with modern fire fighting techniques and systems such as 4 zone micro processer based conventional fire alarm, Electrically operated Siren system, Photoelectric smoke detector,
The building will serve as a Model for other buildings to follow as for the Fire Safety is concerned. Consisting two barracks for 22 fire personnel, GD room, Office, recreation hall kitchen, dining and other rooms.
Addressing the gathering DGP lauded the efforts of the all the departments who involved in construction of this building. He further said that this building is one of the best fire buildings in the Country and best equipped with fire fighting. The dedication and respond rate of fire staff is equal to any other best place.
‘As part of Police rising day we decided to increase the professional excellence in Police Service. Cyber crime and Cyber awareness campaign organized as part of this week. In POCSO, women and juvenile related cases we are improving the professional excellence in this field using many techniques and apart from this community outreach and within police system we are focusing to improve. We also were going to the general public to discuss various and to improve the law abidance in society. The DGP said that an Emergency Response Support System 112 will be launched soon. The police also focusing in community outreach programmes with various cultural programmes and better public service delivery by the police men and general public interaction. Apart from this we also focus on police men training in social development areas for better social orderliness and maintain law and order situation in the society. The A N police approach is to increase the confidence in peace loving personnel towards police and mongers should be fear about police. The ANP is ready for modern emerging society and the social orderliness will improve and better in coming days he added.
Later in the evening a Volleyball final match was played in between Police team and local youth club which was inaugurated by DGP. The match was organized by Police department in association with Department of Sports & Youth affairs.
