Baratang, Jan 20: The early morning ATR bus of Anand from Port Blair met with an accident on Saturday at around 9:30 AM near Pump House of Adazig village of Baratang, Middle Andaman.
As per report, the bus was going towards Diglipur from Port Blair and after crossing Adazig village of Baratang Island, the driver, Mr. Robin detected some mechanical faults in the bus and also found that brake is not working.
Immediately, the driver intimated this matter to all the passengers and using his presence of mind, the driver reportedly negotiated the bus well with roadside natural hump, so that the damage is minimum.
Because of the presence of mind of the Bus Driver, Mr.Robin, the bus came to a halt and nobody sustained any major injuries. However, six passengers out of nearly 40 reportedly suffered minor injuries. Further details are awaited.
