Port Blair, Jan 04: PABUK will be crossing over Andaman Sea between 5th – 7thJanuary, 2019. Under its influence, squally wind speed between 40-50 Kmph gusting to 70 Kmph shall be experienced and may damage the T&D system.
All the Executive Engineers are being directed to instruct all concerned to be well prepared and take all measures to tackle any situation arising due to the above cyclone.
All the consumers, general public and Govt. departments in A&N Islands are also requested to cooperate with the Electricity department by informing about any incidents related to electrical faults like falling of trees / branches over the transmission lines, falling of electric poles and broken HT / LT line on the ground or any kind of short circuit to their respective site offices or nearest police station immediately to avoid any kind of electrical accidents, a release from Superintending Engineer, Electricity Department, Port Blair said here today.
