Port Blair, Dec 10: The District Industries Centre, Department of Industries, A & N Administration, Port Blair will be organizing a number of ‘Awareness cum Motivational Programmes’ on Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and other Govt. Sponsored schemes of DIC at different places of Nancowry group of Islands. The Programme will be organized in association with Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, SBI, ANSCB, Tribal Council, PRI, NGOs, NYK. The Programme will be organized tentatively from end of 2nd Week of December, 2018 onwards at various places of Nancowry group of Islands.
The objectives of the Programme are to disseminate information to the participants about the PMEGP Schemes apart from other incentive oriented Schemes of DIC. The Awareness Programme will be followed by the first hand guidance to the rural entrepreneurs in completion of documentation.
All the unemployed persons of the concerned area, interested in setting up their self-employment ventures under Manufacturing/Service/Trading sector by availing finance under PMEGP are requested to attend the awareness programmes along with one copy of passport size photograph, Local certificate, Tribal Certificate, Educational Qualification Certificate and other essential documents. The filled in applications will be collected on the spot for placing the same before the Sub-Task Force Committee which will be chaired by Assistant Commissioner, Nancowry. The selected applications will be forwarded online to the concerned Banks for financial assistance under PMEGP.
