Port Blair, Dec 06: The “Jana Sena Party Andaman Nicobar” held a public meeting at Little Andaman on 04.12.2018.
Prominent speakers of JSPAN included their State President, Mr. K. Venkat Ram Babu and State General Secretary Mr. Swapan Biswas, Secretary (L/A) Mr. Surajan Biswas Youth President (L/A) Mr. Sujeet Shil, Secretary Hutbay (L/A) Raja Rao, Vice President (L/A) Mr. Kamalesh Mazumder. All leaders of JSPAN voiced their demands which included the introduce of Domical status to all islanders, 15% Reservation for 10 years category / class, Regularization of Excess land / Encroachment land prior to 2007; Reduction in Airfare, State Assembly; Restart DRMs in all departments; All vacant posts fill in all departments, Tourism development in Little Andaman; Re-survey of BPL; Implementation of the Vivek Rai committee recommendation and Providing 4% reservation in Govt. Jobs for Physical Challenged Persons.
The party also demanded that the Lt. Governor should give time to Political parties, NGO’s, other organization.
Other demands include upgradation of PHC to CHC at Little Andaman, improvement in Boat services for Little Andaman, construction of Mimi Stadium at Little Andaman (Hutbay).
