Port Blair, Oct 31: As a part of upcoming ‘3rd National Ayurveda Day’ and ‘AYUSH School Health Programme’, the AYUSH wing of DHS and Andaman & Nicobar State AYUSH Society organized awareness programme on medicinal plants/home remedies and a talk on Health and Hygiene along with demonstration of hand washing technique to mark the occasion of Swachhata Pakhawadaat Govt. Secondary School Junglighat, Govt. Boys Senior Secondary School, Carmel Senior Secondary School, Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya-1, Govt. Senior Secondary School Mohanpura, Govt. Senior Secondary School RBV, VKV School, Lambaline, Kamraj English Medium School, Brookshabad. Saplings of medicinal plants were also gifted to the schools.
The services were rendered by Dr. Hemawathi, M.O (Homoeo), Dr. Meena V. Natkar, M.O (Ayur), Dr. A. Sudarshan, M.O (Ayur), Mr. Prakash Lall, Pharmacist (Ayur) and Mr. Tarun Kumar Bachar, Pharmacist (Ayur). The principles & staff of all the schools extended their wholehearted thanks.
