Port Blair, Sept 23: Andaman Sheekha on September 21, edition had reported about the case of Diglipur’s Missing Fisherman, Mr. Biswanath Roy, who first went missing and then miraculously survived and reached Myanmar. He later found a shelter at a temple of Goddess Kali at Myanmar.
In latest update the neighbours of Mr. Biswanath Roy at Diglipur today received a call from Myanmar in which it was communicated by some person that a meeting was held at the said Goddess Kali Temple by Temple Committee, in which it was decided that Mr. Biswanath Roy will be sent back to India via Kolkata on 26 September, 2018. However, authenticity of the call could not be verified and the number of the caller was also private.
Earlier, the authorities at Myanmar had asked for some documents of Mr. Biswanath Roy from his family members for verification, which were sent via Coast Guard officials at Diglipur.
This will be a miracle if Mr. Biswanath Roy reaches India on 26 September but because of total silence from Indian authority, the family members of Mr. Biswanath Roy are totally confused about the developments in this case. However, they are keeping fingers crossed and praying for the safe return of Mr. Biswanath Roy.
