Port Blair, Sept 20: A 79 year old lady Dhanamma attempted to commit suicide in her house at Bhuniyadabad this afternoon. As per details, she was living with her son and daughter in law.
Sources said that the lady was unable to perform her daily tasks because of a fracture in her leg, since last four months and was completely dependent on her son and daughter-in-law for all activities. The lady was also under stress for this health conditions, sources said.
Today, at around 11 AM the lady reportedly tried to slit her neck with a knife but as per report, her daughter-in-law saw that and called ambulance immediately. The lady was immediately shifted to G B Pant Hospital, where her condition is said to be improving. Further details are awaited.
