Port Blair, August 22: Declamation Contest onPatriotism and nation building held on 21/08/2018 in the conference hall of Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder as a part of Republic Day celebration, 2019. A total of 20 youths from different places of Rangat and Mayabunder block participated. Chief guest Dr. B. Prabhuram Principal, Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder stressed on the need of honesty, responsibility and participation of the individual for better society. Mr.AlphonceToppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat welcomed the gathering and presented the objective of the contest. In this Declamation contestMr. Nikit Das, Mr. E. Venkatesh and Mr.Mohd. Arbaz Khan were declared first, second and third respectively. Mr. Mohammed Mohsin, Lecturer of the college proposed vote of thanks. Prize money of Rs.5000/- , Rs.2000/- Rs.1000 for First, second and third winner respectivelywere awarded shortly after the contest.
