Port Blair, August 22: Mr.KuldeepRai Sharma , PCC President, invited the attention of Honb.ble Lt. Governor, A& N Islands towards the news item published in the Daily Telegram on 15/8 2018 under the Caption “ Recruitment of PSTs; age relaxation allowed; last date extended” and requested to grant age relaxation of 8 years to the female candidates over and above the prescribed age limit of 30 years in lieu of age relaxation of three (3) years currently granted by the Administration
In this context, Mr.Kuldeep brought to the notice of the Lt. He further stated that, obviously such preferential treatment to female candidates over the male candidate in respect of maximum age limit for entry in government service under A& N Administration need to be given to perpetuate government policy of endowing women empowerment byproviding more opportunity to women folk in the public appointment so as to make them self-dependent and self-reliant. He pointed out that in case of earlier recruitment for the posts of teachers including the Primary School Teacher in the Directorate of Education age relaxation up to 8(eight) years over and above of prescribed age limit of 30 years were given to the female candidates.
