Diglipur, Madhupuur, Aug 13: Asst Commissioner Diglipur Mr. Shailender Kumar Singh today morning inaugurated a Vermicomposting bed at GSS Madhupur.
Smti S Bhawani the Principal of the school welcomed the gathering and highlighted about importance of the Vermicomposting and promised to start a vegetable garden very soon at the Mid-day meal kitchen premises. She also revealed that the main idea to take this step was from Smti Sangeeta Chand, Deputy Education Officer, Diglipur.
Speaking on this occasion DEO highlighted the importance of the Vermicomposting and awareness regarding Swach Bharat Abhiyan. Mr. Shyamal Ch Debnath, Pradhan , Gram Panchayat Madhupur asked the students to take the initiative at home and make the Vemicompost functioning.
The Special Guest Mr. Dilip Kumar Brahma gave a lecture about the need of Vermcompost in the present scenario. At the End the Chief Guest Asst Commissioner encouraged the students and asked them to take part actively for the proper functioning of the Vermicomposting bed which is unique of its king in North Andamans Digliupur Zone.
