Port Blair, Aug 03: The State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, A & N Islands Mr. Vishal Jolly recently visited Little Andaman and interacted with the public and the major issues came up that since 2007 no child delivery has been conducted at Little Andaman either normal or cesarean section due to non – availability of Ultra sound facility and Lady Medical officer.
The patients are advised to visit GB Pant Hospital for postnatal and gynecological care. The patients are bound to stay at lodges / hotels incurring huge amount for a minimum period of one month at Port Blair.
In this regard, Mr. Vishal Jolly met the Chief Secretary and appraised the situation prevailing in Little Andaman. The Chief Secretary has reportedly agreed to depute the Lady Medical officer immediately and within a short span of time necessary Ultra Sound facilities with trained doctor will be provided to the needy beneficiaries.
