Port Blair, July 15: A blog named ‘The Potttatang Times’ with web address http://thepottatangtimes.blogspot.in/ has become the talk of the town. The blog is providing funnier and lighter side of all serious news stories related to Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In its introduction the Administrator of the blog claims that “this is purely a commercial venture, and run by a group of experts in various discipline. The stories appearing on this group or blog has no connection with anybody dead or alive and if it appears like that, its purely coincidental. The members are requested not to send any private message to know the name of the Admin of the group as he is already dead. Enjoy it and spread the message.”
The first post of “The Pottatang Times” appeared on Sunday and in just one day the site has recorded 165 hits, only in the blog page and much more than that in its Facebook Group page.
The blog also carries a lot of controversial statements therefore it is obvious that many would not like the blog but it seems that the Administrator of the blog is making very balanced, well-calculated and smart use of his “Freedom of Expression” “Freedom of Speech”, respecting his limits. The best part of this development is that many islanders have already started commenting on Facebook Group page of The Pottatatang Times, making it very interesting to read.
