Port Blair, July 22: The Mahatma Gandhi International School celebrated its 14th Investiture and Felicitation Ceremony on 21st July 2018 in the school premises. Mr. Mammen Thomas DEO South Andaman was invited as Chief Guest to grace the occasion. He inspired the students to excel well in their studies and bring developments to their society. Spectators witnessed the grand school investiture Ceremony wherein newly appointed council members were adorned with sashes and handed over flags by the Chief Guest, accordingly the leader of prefectural board and the students council repeated the pledge read by Mrs. C.H. Swapna to uphold the values of the school and keeping the sacred school flag flying high while discharging their duties honestly and impartially.
Oath taking was followed by the pinning of Badges. The students and teachers who excelled in academics and brought laurels to the school were felicitated by the Chief Guest with cash prize and trophies. The other events include Motivational songs by the school choir group and fusion Dance performance. The ceremony came to an end with high tea served for the Teachers and appointees.
