Port Blair, July 20: In Andaman, High waves in the range of 3.5 – 5.0 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 20-07-2018 to 23:30 hours of 22-07-2018 along the west coast of Andaman Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Coco Channel. Current speeds vary between 51 – 102 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed exceeding 45kmph and rough to very rough seas likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar coasts. Fishermen are advised not to venture in to the sea on 20th & 21st July, 2018.
In Nicobar High waves in the range of 3.5 – 4.9 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 20-07-2018 to 23:30 hours of 22-07-2018 along the west coast of Nicobar Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Great Channel. Current speeds vary between 63 – 91 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed exceeding 45kmph and rough to very rough seas likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar coasts. Fishermen are advised not to venture in to the sea on 20th & 21st July, 2018.
