Diglpur, July 20: The department of Agriculture in association with ATMA conducted Kharif Campaign 2018-19 with effect from 11th July 2018 at Diglipur zone. It was a second campaign held at Keralpuram village on 18th July 2018 at 10.00 AM and was inaugurated by Keralapuram Gram Panchayat Up- Pradhan Mr. Pradip Mondal, Staffs representing various Departments like Agriculture, Fisheries and Industries and altogether 30 no’s of farmers participated in the programme.
The main agenda of Kharif Campaign at Diglipur for the year 2018-19 was to highlight the Prime Minister’s Flagship programmes in agriculture and allied sectors, by giving more emphasis on the Prime Minister Fasal Bhima Yojana (PMFBY) and Prime Minister Krishi Sichai Yojana (PMKSY).
During the campaign, the Agriculture Assistant Smt. B.L.Lathika explained briefly the package of practices of kharif crops, Prime Minister Fasal Bhima Yojana scheme and appealed the farmers to insure their kharif crops especially paddy and vegetables.
The staffs of fisheries & Industries departments also discussed about their various departmental schemes. During the campaign the farmers also interacted and clarified their doubts with the respective staffs. The campaign ended with vote of thanks from ATMA team, Diglipur.
