Port Blair, July 11: Mr. R Mohan, the State President has requested to the Lt Governor to keep the transfer order of Dr Srinivas, Regional Director, IGNOU, Port Blair in abeyance. Advocating for Dr Srinivas, Mohan has stated that Dr S Srinivas, the Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Port Blair has done a lot of good and memorable works for the betterment of the Centre. During his short tenure of service as Regional Director he has created total 06 Study Centre where about 3,000 students are benefited per annum.
He has many plans to develop in IGNOU for the welfare of the students but those cannot be materialised due to his sudden transfer.
“For the betterment in the studies and welfare of the local students and teachers his services are very much required here and hence the Party requested to kindly keep his orders of transfer in abeyance in the greater interest of the students,” Mr. Mohan added.
