Port Blair, May 28: A team of Aberdeen Police Unit has recovered gold worth Rs 09 lakhs on 22nd May, 2018. As per reports, a resident of Nayagaon launched a complaint in the Aberdeen Police Unit on 18th May, 2018 about theft of gold worth Rs 09 lakhs from his house situated at Nayagaon.
Acting upon the complaint, team of Aberdeen Police Unit started investigation and after thorough inquiry they found a youth who used to come to the victim’s house for doing household works, involved in this matter.
As per sources, the wife of the owner of the house is posted in Southern Group of Islands and when she recently came home on leave, she found her gold ornaments missing.
Sources said that the thief used to steal gold in less-amount at one time.
Tremendous efforts of the Aberdeen Police Unit, in recovering the stolen gold, was highly appreciated by the people of Nayagaon region. As per reports, the accused is behind the bars.
