Port Blair, May 25: The Cadets and Instructors of 1 (A&N) INDEP Inf Coy, NCC visited the Orphanage at Bathubasti under the Swachhata Samaroh Phase II.
The cadets presented on impromptu entertainment program for the children at the orphanage. Initially the children were apprehensive but on seeing the positive and friendly attitude of the cadets. The children also presented a tribal dance for the NCC cadets as a token of their thanks.
All the children at the orphanage were given refreshments by the cadets. The cadets and the children mixed and blended as one entity in a matter of few hours. Some of the senior girls at the orphanage expressed their interest and to join the NCC and the Armed Forces. The various options available through NCC were explained to the children by the Instructors.
