Port Blair, July 08: The BJP State President, Mr R. Mohan has written to the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and the leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Mrs Sushma Swaraj complaining about the partisan role being played by the Lt. Governor,A & NIslands.
It was the BJP, says the letter, which had first written to the Lt. Governor to increase the number of seats in various streams in JNRM in May this year. But surprisingly enough the LG has given credit to the ANTCC in this regard assuring to give it a positive consideration. Branding this as a clear cut partisan attitude of the Lt. Governor in favour of the Congress party, the BJP’s local leadership has strongly objected and has threatened to highlight it in the national media, says a party release.
