Port Blair, Apr 06: The hotspot of Andaman Tourism, the Havelock Island has finally got a bigger vessel, MV Corel Queen, for the locals as well as the tourists.
Presently the Administration has scheduled the ship from Port Blair to Havelock on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The vessel leaves Haddo Port of Port Blair at 0600 hrs and on its return journey the vessel leaves Havelock at 1530 hrs.
Speaking to Andaman Sheekha Chief Port Administrator, Dr. RD Tripathi said that the Shipping Department is presently conducting trails of the ship.
Sources said that each sailing of the vessel is going full and the Tourists as well as the general public are happy as the carrying capacity of this vessel is 450 Pax with chair, bunk and deluxe cabin facilities. Apart from this, a cafeteria and canteen are also available onboard ship.
Recently various associations at Diglipur and PRIs members of North Andaman had demanded for bigger vessels, to be connected with Havelock on the way to Diglipur for better tourism development on both Islands.
