Port Blair, July 06: The Coast Guard Region (A&N) has been providing a vital contribution in the Maritime Security of the A&N region archipelago through dedicated arid perseverant efforts by their ships and aircraft. The growing maritime threats to national security, commerce and environmental issues as well as the rapid technological advancements in all spheres necessitate continuous assessment and redefine Target and Key Result Areas. In order to take necessary steps to meet growing maritime challenges, an Half Yearly Conference with all outlying and local Coast Guard District and Stations Commanders and also Commanding Officer of all ships and establishments is scheduled at the Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (A&N), Port Blair on 09th and 10th July 12.
The Conference will be chaired by Inspector General VSR Murthy, President Tatrakshak Medal, Tatrakshak Medal, Commander Coast Guard Region (A&N). During the conference, progress on various administrative, operational and technical issues will be reviewed in the A&N region to enhance ICG infrastructure facilities, administration, technical and operational capabilities.
