Port Blair, July 06: To celebrate 111th Birth Anniversary of Dr Shayama Prasad Mukherjee (July 6, 1901 – June 23, 1953), a programme was organised at BJP Bhavan, Middle Point at 10.00 AM. Floral tributes were paid by the senior leaders, this was followed by speeches on his life by delivered by Mr. Shripad Deshpande, State General Secretary (Org) and Mr. Anil Kr Tiwari, State Secretary, BJP. On this day the Party has also started the Membership drive for which BJP leaders were appointed as Membership in-charge.
