Port Blair, Mar 21: Every year World Water Day -22 March- is celebrated as a day to raise awareness & inspire action to tackle water and sanitation issues. Every year UN-Water proposes a theme for World Water Day corresponding to a current or future challenge.
This year’s theme – Nature for Water – sets the focus for the World Water Development Report launched annually on 22 March.
As in earlier years’ the A & N State Centre of The Institution of Engineers (India) in association with APWD & PBMC proposes to celebrate the day by organizing a presentation & interactive session for the Engineering fraternity, college students & interested persons to thrash out solutions to the challenges faced by the world on the water front, on Thursday, 22 March, 2018 at 3 pm at the Conference Hall of ALHW at Mohanpura, Port Blair
Er. Arun Kumar, Executive Engineer (Plg.), APWD, Port Blair will be making a brief presentation and delivering the lecture. All the Engineering Fraternity & interested persons of these islands are requested to attend the Technical Lecture.
