Port Blair, Mar 15: ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi has communicated that the Prime Minister will inaugurate National Conference of KVKs on 17th March 2018, and will address 681 KVKs, and about 7 lakhs progressive farmers/ youth all over India (farmers from each district).
On the occasion, the Prime Minister will also confer the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Krishi Vigyan Protsahan Puruskar, 2016 to KVK farmers.
In this connection, as per the direction of ICAR, ATARI, Kolkata, the ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, CIARI, N & M Andaman is organising a programme to live telecast the speech of the Prime Minister at Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder on 17.03.2018 at 10:00 AM.
The programme will commence in the presence of Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, N & M Andaman; Pramukh, Mayabunder; Pradhan; PRI-members, and Line department officials. About 400 farmers and rural youth are also expected to join this programme.
