Port Blair, Mar 08: Since last more than 30 hours entire North and Middle Andaman is totally disconnected from Port Blair as far as BSNL mobile network is concerned. Sadly even after 30 hours the BSNL has failed to rectify the faults, giving horrible time to people of North and Middle Andaman.
As per details since yesterday 12 noon the BSNL mobile network of entire North and Middle Andaman is down after suspected damage in OFC inside Jarawa Reserve Forest area of ATR. Adding to the pain even after receiving complaint the BSNL could not send a team to rectify the fault yesterday and only by this morning a team was sent to rectify the fault.
When Andaman Sheekha contacted the CGM and asked him the reason behind this delay he said that as it was already evening yesterday it was not possible to send team inside Jarawa Reserve Forest and hence the team was sent today. He assured that by 3.00 PM today the BSNL mobile network will be restored, which didn’t happen sadly.
