Diglipur, Mar 7: A 8 feet long and 4 Kgs in weight, King Cobra snake has been rescued from Madhupur area of Diglipur yesterday evening from the residence of Nirmal Mondal.
Today morning a rat snake of 3 feet long was rescued from Navin Nagar from the residence of Jaydeb Sarkar .
A special team of Forest Department led by Mr. Mycah the Forester along with forester Mr. Vijay Chandran and Mr. Charchill rescued these snakes.
The Forest Department has requested public to inform nearest Forest office about any such snake sighting or to communicate the matter to Mobile Squad office or call Mr. Micah @ 9476019534, Mr Cherian Thomas @9531842801, Mr Mukul Mistry @ 9474280073 or DFO @ 03192-272233/272799.
