Port Blair, Feb 23: International Mother Language Day was celebrated by Women’s wing of Tunighata Peoples Movement of Human Rights Welfare Association (Andaman Branch),at Kalighat Diglipur under the leadership of its National Secretary Mr. Sanjib Kanjilal.
An Awareness Rally organised by Mrs. Rinku Ghosh (Unit President Women Wings) and Auto union at Kalighat from Harimandir to Kalighat thana at 4:00 Pm, under the association banner, as a startup to mark peace and multilingualism around the Island and to protect all mother languages.
In the rally more than 70 peoples participated. “Languages are the most powerful instruments of preserving and developing our tangible and intangible heritage, so we should respect and preserve all mother language .Our organisation growing and planning to give its full participation in the welfare works for the Islands, added by Mr.Mithun Das, Youngest President of said NGO .
