Port Blair, Feb 15: A large group of angry parents protested for hours today outside Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Pout Mout, alleging that the 11th Class student of the school, who committed suicide a few days ago, was update because of the behaviour of the Principal and a Teacher of the School.
As per reports, the parents demanded strict action against the Principal and the Teacher because of whose behaviour the student reportedly took this extreme step. The Panchayati Raj Members of Ferrargunj, Mithakhari, Chouldari, Guptapahara also supported the protest, organised by parents.
The Protest started at around 07:00am and it continued till 11:00 am.
The parents called off the protest only after the Sub Divisional Magistrate and the Secretary of the School along with Tehsildar reached the spot and assured the protestors that they will suspend the Principal of the School, and the teacher against whom there were allegation, Mr. Anand Amrit Raj, ex- Zilla Parishad Member told Andaman Sheekha.
