Port Blair, Jan 29: Haldia, 29th January 2018: Mr. Anadiranjan Biswas, Poet-Writer and Editor of BAAKPROTIMA & NEWS SPOTLIGHT, one of the Vice Presidents of Andaman & Nicobar Media Federation, recently participated in the International Poets Congress held in the Knowledge City of Haldia, West Bengal from 27th to 29th January 2018.
The Poets Congress was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Keshari Nath Tripathi, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal on 27th January 2018. Near about 460 poets from USA, Bangladesh, different parts of India in addition to the poets of West Bengal participated in this prestigious function.
On 27th January 2018, Mr. Biswas was felicitated as one of the honoured guest poets on the dias. Later he presented his speech as well as self composed poem.
On 28th January 2018, a book of Anadiranjan Biswas named ‘Sada Pristha Nasto Kori’ (editorial collection of Baakprotima, compiled and edited by Mrs. Anjali Das) was released by Dr. Lakshman Seth, former Member of Parliament (Loksabha) in presence of poets Mr. Shyamal Kanti Das, Arun Chkraborty and Writer Mr. Nalini Bera among others.
On 29th January 2018 (at 6 PM), Mr Biswas has been invited to participate in a tea-party to be held in honour of some distinguished poets of Bangladesh and outer-Bengal, in the Haldia Institute of Technology.
