Port Blair, Jan 25: Under Art & Culture Scheme of Panchayat Samiti, Namunaghar, to promote Art & Culture of this area, to create a love for their art & culture, preservation and paving them a way for learning them, a drawing competition, an essay, an elocution competition & a cultural Programme of folk dance, folk song, a Skit based Swatctha Abhiyan and a Yoga display were held in GSS Namunaghar on 25.01.2018 at 10.00 AM for the students of Class I to VIII and villagers.
Mr. Sandeep Biswas, Pramukh, was Chief Guest on the occasion. The Member Panchayat Samiti Namunaghar Mr. Hamid Khan, the organizer with the help of Pramukh graced the occasion along with Mrs. Preethima Kumari Tirkey, Pradhan Gram Panchayat Namunaghar, PRIs Members & villagers.
The children overwhelmingly participated and enthralled the audience and they were widely appreciated by one and all. At the end of the programme they give away prizes to winners of essay, drawing, elocution, yoga & cultural programme.
The Pramukh Mr. Sandeep Biswas blessed the students, speaking on our Art & Culture and it importance. Following this Mr. Hamid Khan, Member Panchayat Samiti exhorted to students to preserve their art & culture. Earlier the Vice Principal of GSS Namunaghar Mr, M.Rajeshwaran had welcomed the gathering. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs Shahnaz Begum, GTT GSS Namunaghar.
