Port Blair, Jan 25: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank has organised a Rangoli competition on the occasion of Pongal at Pongy Chaung area on 21.01.2018 for the Self Help Group (SHG) members of the area to embark the spirit of festivity.
Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Vice Chairman of the Bank attended the function as the chief guest and blessed the gathering for the programme.
Mrs. Rubina Siddiqui, Member, A & N UT Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Mrs. Komal Anand, Ex-President, Inner Wheel Club, Smt. Sony Solomon, PGT, GSSS Boys attended the competition as Judges and gave their valuable support in the successful conduct of the programme. The programme was also attended by Mr. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director of the bank.
On the basis of the demand of people of area, the bank had organised Rangoli competition at the Pongy Chaung in which over 13 groups participated. Saraswati SHG, Manikantha SHG and Durga SHG bagged 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prizes. A total of over 5 consolation prizes were also distributed to the groups who have participated in the competition.
The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Smt. Elizabeth Mary, Women Development Officer of the bank.
