Port Blair, Jan 23: Mr. Indra Pal Singh, Chairperson, PBMC, Mrs. Protima Banerjee, Councilor Ward No:6 alongwith the Sanitary Officer, Assistant Engineer(Works) and other officials of the Council visited Prem Nagar area today on 23.01.2018. During the inspection it has been observed that garbage’s were accumulated in various places. On enquiry it was appraised that due to some mechanical flaw the allocation of trip was distressed and the accumulated garbage could not be removed completely. The Civic chief directed the S.O to provide additional trip of truck if required to clear the garbages in consultation with the Councilor daily to keep the area neat and clean. Directions were also been issued to the S.O to provide sufficient number of dust bins in that area so that the public residing nearby area can deposit garbages in the dust bins. After that while inspecting Prem Nagar area near Kali mandir, it has been noticed that so many vehicles were parked in that area in an un organized manner causing traffic congestion in that area. The Ward Councilor insisted to construct a Parking place in that area to ease down the vehicular movement. Civic Chief decided to construct a parking area to facilitate the public to park their vehicle in an uniform manner and to ease out traffic congestion.
