Port Blair, Jan 16: Pahargaon police functioning under the supervision of SHO Pahargaon Sh. Sahil Shamsuddin worked out a theft case within three hours and arrested the accused and recovered stolen items from his possession.
On 09/01/18 Mr. Netai Debnath R/o Garacharma reported house break and burglary of ornaments and cash from his house during his absence. Upon his complaint, a case of theft was registered at PS Pahargaon and investigation was started.
A team was constituted, led by SI P.Jeevan, consisting of HC Babu Rao, PC S N Pathak PC E Khan and PC Bhaskar Rao under the guidance of SHO Sahil Shamsuddin and immediate supervision of DySP(SA) Nishant Gupta.
During the investigation, the accused S. K. Akram R/o Rajaji Nagar, Garacharma was arrested and stolen articles and cash were recovered from his possession.
The said theft case was solved within three hours of reporting. People of the area have appreciated the swift response act of the Police.
