Port Blair, Dec 29: Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services in association with ATMA organized and conducted two day training programme “Rearing of Ducks in village Condition” at Gram Panchayat, Namunaghar from 27/12/2017 to 28/12/2017.
Smti. Preethima Kumari Tirkey, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Namunaghar inaugurated the programme by lighting traditional lamp. In her address to chief guest stressed upon to need to adopts Duck rearing in every household and requested the participant to adopt Duckery for livehood Dr. Subhash B. Palve, Senior Veterinary Officer, VD, Elephant Point organized the Programme and explained in details about management of Ducks including other aspects. Dr. S.K. Choubey, Senior veterinary Officer, VD, Port Mout imparted training and taught various methods to get maxmum economic return whereas Dr. R.K Upadhay, SVO, Mangultan briefed about basics to be kept in mind while dealing in Duckery. Dr. Baljeet Kaur, SVO, Wimberlygunj delivered lectures and briefed in detail about importance of feeding of Ducks.
Mr. Hamid Khan, Panchayat Samiti Member attended programme on last days and appreciated effects of the departments.
Mr. Bagh Singh, Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Namunaghar took actively part in field visit undertaken on last day.
