Port Blair, Dec 29: A minor fire was reported this morning from a private vessel MV Pradeep, berthed at Junglighat Jetty.
According to details at around 9:02 am some flames erupted from the vessel following some accident and immediately Fire Services was informed about it. Taking no time, the Andaman and Nicobar Fire Service reached the spot on time and control the fire within five minutes.
As per eye witnesses swift action of fire personnel saved the entire vessel.
Fire brigade source said that the reason behind the fire was some kind of accident, about which the investigations are on.
No one suffered any injury in the fire accident but considerable loss has been reported.
