Port Blair, Dec 28: Vice Chancellor of Pondcherry Central University Prof. Gurmeet Singh visited JNRM, Port Blair on 28.12.2017. During his maiden visit to these islands after assuming the charge as Vice Chancellor, Prof. Gurmeet Singh had lively discussion with the Principals of all the Colleges of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This is the first occasion when a Vice Chancellor held a meeting with all the Principals and Directors of Research Institute affiliated to Pondcherry Central University. He addressed to all the grievances of the colleges and institutes and assured an early redressal. The Vice Chancellor has also assured that he would be interacting with the students, Faculties, Principals and Director of Research Institute of these islands frequently.
He was accompanied by Prof. Sreenivasan, Dean, College Development Council, Pondicherry Central University and Prof. Mohan Raju, HOD, Pondicherry Central University Campus at Port Blair.
The Vice Chancellor also visited JNRM Campus and inspected different units of JNRM including Library. Prof. Gurmeet Singh appreciated the facilities, infrastructure and reading materials available in JNRM Library. Prof. Singh also suggested that the University will provide e-connectivity to access reading materials available with different libraries of other Universities including Pondicherry Central University.
