Port Blair, Dec 26: A 42 year old man reportedly stabbed himself to death today at 11:00 am at his home situated at Phongy Kyuang. As per reports, Srinivas Rao, was a Private Worker and was mentally disturbed since a long time because he was suffering from Tuberculosis.
The wife of the victim is a staff of Civil Supplies Department and she was the first one to see her husband dead inside the house. Sources said that after the wife of victim saw her husband dead, in shock, she didn’t react and straight away she went to the Police Station and informed the matter to the Police.
A team of Aberdeen Police Unit then shifted the dead body to the Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital and it is learnt that the Post mortem will be conducted tomorrow. As of now the Aberdeen Police Unit has registered a case of Unnatural death in this regard and the police is also waiting for the Post mortem report.
