Port Blair, Dec 14: The Andaman & Nicobar Police has conducted meeting of Citizen Committees and Senior Citizens at PS Humfrigunj on 02/12/2017 in which 30 people including PRI members, Senior Citizens and retired Govt. servant participated. Issues pertaining to Road Safety measures and traffic rule regulation, furnishing of information about the illegal activities like sale of tobacco products, illegal sale of IMFL, sale of illicit liquor, transportation and sale of other contraband articles were discussed. All Pradhan & PRI members of Gram Panchayat were exhorted to carry out campaigns on Swatch Bharath Abhiyaan and also highlighted. They were also sensitized about safety of women and children and cautioned not to venture on creek areas and sensitive Nallahs to avoid crocodile attacks.
The local public is requested to pass on information of any illegal activities to the nearest Police Station or to the Police Control Room (Ph. No. 100, 232100).
