Port Blair, Dec 10: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands currently on tour to Little Andaman from 08th December, 2017 for 3 days in connection with laying foundation stones for CRF roads, inauguration of MPLAD Works and other assets created by the Panchayat Samity, Little Andaman. Soon after his arrival to Little Andaman, he visited Krishna Nalli and Balu level under Netaji Nagar Panchayat on 08.12.2017 and interacted with the Forest Corporation workers and redressed their genuine grievances. In the evening on the same day, he holds a public meeting at Hut Bay Bazar and highlighted the various developmental activities took placed by the Modi Govt. in A&N Islands as well as his initiatives taken up by him for over all development of islands, through Power Point Presentation.
On 9th December, 2017, the Member of Parliament laid foundation stone for improvement of SH-1 road from km 14 to 22 kms (total 8 kms) at Hut Bay under CRF fund provided by Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road and Transport, New Delhi on the demand of MP. The estimate cost of the work is Rs.9,16 Cr and the work has been awarded at cost of Rs.7,73,35,489/- to M/s CSE Constructions Pvt. Ltd which will be completed by 3/2018.
Thereafter, on the same day of 9th December, 2017, the Member of Parliament also inaugurated RCC Box culvert Bridge at Ward No.1, Rabindra Nagar, Little Andaman which was granted by him under MPLAD fund for an amount of Rs.49,88,438/- constructed by APWD. The Member of Parliament also inaugurated the Community Hall at Rabindera Nagar, Little Andaman constructed under MPLAD fund provided by him for an amount of Rs.56.42 lakhs. He also laid foundation stone for c/o of fish market to be constructed from the fund of Panchayat Samity, Little Andaman besides opening of Panchayat Samity Market at Rabindra Nagar, Little Andaman. During the foundation stones/inaugural function of the above said assets, Smti. Sima Sarkar, Pramukh, Little Andaman, Smti. Anitha Mondal, Zilla Parishad Mondal, Mr. Gopal Ganguly, Pradhan, Rabinder Nagar, Mr. Babul Sarkar, Pradhan Netaji Nagar, Smti. Geeeta Rao, Pradhan, Hut Bay, Mr. Joseph, Tehsildar, Little Andaman, Mr. Sajitha, AE, APWD, Smti. Jayamani, JE, APWD, Mr. Joga Rao, Ex-Pramukh, Little Andaman cum Mandal President, BJP, Hut Bay besides Panchayat Samity/Gram Panchayat Members and general public were also preset/attended the functions. In the evening of 9th Dec.,, 20017, Mr. Ray, Member of Parliament has also highlighted/presented the achievements of Modi Government and developmental works that have been took place during last 03 years of NDA period.
