Port Blair, Dec 04: In view of the weather conditions in Andaman & Nicobar Islands all the schools will remain closed tomorrow.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Mr Udit Prakash Rai said that the presently there is a low depression over Andaman Islands and it may convert into deep depression by this evening, therefore the decision has been taken.
He said that the good news is that the depression is heading towards North-West direction so there is no danger to these Islands and yet it has not converted into a Cyclone.
He also clarified that there is no holiday for the Colleges both in North & Middle Andaman as well as South Andaman.
Mr Udit also requested public not to panic as the Chief Secretary, Andaman Nicobar Administration held a detailed meeting in this regard. He said that all the Control Rooms, field functionaries are in the field so there is nothing to worry.
