Port Blair, Dec 04: The Convenor, Bambooflat Bridge Forum, Mr Abhay Kumar who is continuously keeping track on updates about the status of Bambooflat- Chatham bridge construction issue today said that the, Financial Bid of Bambooflat-Chatham Bid has been completed.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha over phone, Mr Abhay Kumar said that as per information received by him from a senior officer of NHIDCL, altogether four companies participated in the bid where three companies qualified and as per the recent updates which he has received a company of Kolkata has been successfully qualified the financial bid.
“Still the successful bidder have to complete certain formalities like paying the EMD etc. and after the process completed, the company will be given a seven months time to submit a Detailed Project Report,” Mr Abhay said.
Mr Abhay added that there were some objections from the Navy but to fulfil the conditions kept by the Navy, the construction expenditure has been doubled from Rs 1000cr to Rs 2000cr.
