Port Blair, Nov 24: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat organized Block and District Level Declamation Contest on Patriotism and Nation Building on 23/11/2017 at the conference hall of Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder as part of Republic Day Celebration,2018 and also to strengthen the spirit of Nationalism and Patriotic feeling amongst youth. Altogether 11 youths from different places of Rangat and Mayabunder Block participated. On the occasion Dr. B. Prabhuram, Associate Professor was the chief guest.
In his address the chief guest stressed on the need of self-development of the individual for better society and one should be sincere, dedication and constantly hard labourer towards his work. Earlier Shri Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat welcomed the gathering and presented the objective of the contest.
In the district level Declamation Contest Mr. P. Harish, Mr. Abdul Sohail and Miss Anuja Kujur was declared first, second and third respectively. Dr. RVR Murthy, Associate Professor and NSS Coordinator of the College proposed vote of thanks.
